Judges' Comments:
The non-daily newspapers in the Cox Ohio group offer readers a true snapshot of their respective communities. But, we gave The Pulse-Journal the nod for two reasons – the sheer depth of its reporting and enterprise and events, and its fantastic photography. This newspaper staff is really attempting to offer readers comprehensive and compelling coverage. Even routine stories become something more because reporters are willing to use an extra source to add impact and interest.

This staff should be proud of the newspaper they provide to their readers.
